This Is Us

Hey guys!
We’ve realised that we never gave you a proper introduction of ourselves. You probably must be wondering as to who we both are. So here is a brief and fun introduction to let you all know a little about us!

Sukanya:
Estd in '99, fun loving and a photo freak; I love to dance, read and listen to music. My ambitions are my life and I believe in enjoying every moment to the fullest. Right now, I’m a high school student, seeking a bit of fun.

Birthday: 10th January 1999
Skills I’d like to possess someday: Learn to play an instrument
One Wardrobe Essential: Sweat Pants (Yes, really those)
Favourite Accessory: Rings
One Weird Secret: I love taking selfies (everywhere)

Akshita:
19, practical, ambitious and a music addict; I have a lust to travel to each and every nook of the world. Love to read and interact with people. I thoroughly believe in just being happy. I’m majoring in Economics, and in this busy boring schedule this is my way to unwind.

Birthday: 7th January 1995
Skills I’d like to possess someday: Learn a new language (Hopefully French)
One Wardrobe Essential:  A good pair of Jeans
Favourite Accessory: A Watch
One Weird Secret: When alone, I talk to myself (and this happens a lot)

In between the two of us, Akshita is probably the more practical one whereas Sukanya is the bubbly one. ^_^

Hope this gives you an insight about the both of us! J

Dress Up Series : College LookBook II

Hey guys!

So as promised, here are two more looks for all you college going girls that are sure make you look amazing!

Don’t know about you guys, but we both share a common notion, and it simply is that we should feel confident in whatever we’re wearing. And these two outfits are one of those that would surely never go wrong.

As for the first one, we went with a simple pair of black leggings – an absolute favourite – with a printed crop top. This outfit is not only chic, but very comfortable for the season as well. Team this up neutral flats and accessorise as you like, and you’re good to go J

Leggings- Zara
Crop Top - Forever 21

Heart Shaped Pendant - Pantaloons

Akshita: I love this one so much! In fact this was my pick for my first day this year.

Watch - Titan
Sling Bag - Novelty

For the second look, we went with a great option. What’s summer without a summer dress, right? So here it is a little white summer dress. We added a hint of colour with spaghetti and accessorised with a simple long chain and a hair band to give it that girly touch.

Watch - Titan

Dress - H&M
Spaghetti - Honey
Chain - Asda UK
Hair Band - Lifestyle

The moral of this post simply is to keep it simple; let the clothes speak for themselves, and let your smile be the best accessory J

Dress Up Series : College LookBook I

Continuing with the ‘Back to College’ theme this week, we’ll be showing you some of our favourite ways to dress up for college. This post will be divided into two, and here you have the first one.  Hope these outfits inspire to look your best at college!

Here are some ideas to start this college semester with a splash of style. Wear it, love it, click it!

For the first look :

Casual and fun, shorts are for everyone. And no one can ever go wrong with stripes. It’s casual and playful for those simplistic days. Team them up with accessories of your choice, but keep it clean and you are good to go.

Tee Shirt - Benetton
Shorts - Lifestyle
Wedges - Venus
Necklace - Asda, UK

As for the second one:

Just for the days when you want to feel comfortable but not leave your style behind! Boyfriend jeans act as a perfect lower and a tank top with a comfy scarf can spice up your look.

Tank Top - Benetton
Boyfriend Jeans - Only
Sandals - Delcoo
Scarf - Flee Market
Watch - Titan

Sunglasses - Scott

For our third look:

As we all know, block colours are in and this colour just screams F-U-N! A denim shirt on the other hand is a must in every girl’s wardrobe. We paired it with a nude ballet flats as we didn't want the footwear to overpower the clothes and a quirky hair band gives the outfit an ‘oomph’ factor.

Denim Top - UCLA
Jeans - Vibe
Ballet Flats - Delco

Hair Band - Shopping expo

Watch - Titan Raga

So that's it for this post, do stay tuned for the second part!

Quick Essentials: College Edition

It’s back to college week with the ChevronDuo! Even though Sukanya goes to school, in the near future it’s time for her to go to college and watching Akshita she has a fair idea of what one needs J

Akshita : Summer is over, and mostly all of us are ready to get back to college and fall back into our regular routines. And for some of us, it is an exciting time as you might just be joining in! But before starting up a new year at college, we all have a few essentials that we need to get ready. Being a student of Delhi University, I am well aware that the harsh sunlight and long days call for some important necessities that each one of us needs to have.

So here are some quick essentials which are a must to get ready and going for college.

As we all know how dramatic India can be, why not join in with the fun with some drama in the eyes with the help of a kajal/ kohl stick. But India is not just dramatic, its uber hot too. So a lip balm with SPF and a good sunscreen are a must have for every student.
Our Essentials
Sometimes you just make a random plan to go out to beat the boredom of classes and at that time a nice lip gloss can be your saving grace for a quick little makeover. A little colour on the lip and you’re ready to go! Just for a fresh and happy scent a deodorant is very important – roll on or spray – both work! We recommend the roll on as it stays on longer and is a safer choice for you.

Kajal - Maybelline Collosal Kajal
Lip Balm - Born Lippy (Body Shop)
- Baby lips (Maybelline)
Lip gloss -Chambor (661 Intense)
-Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon

From the Top
Chambor 661 Intense
Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon

Do not forget to buy yourself a good hydrating face wash, cleansing milk or rose water. I use the face wash every morning and alternate between rose water and cleansing milk once I get back. This is very important to keep your skin clean and spot free!
Also, yes, we do need a pen and a notebook. Get a cute one to make you smile every time you sit in a boring class J

Face Wash- Ponds
Rose Water - Natura
Deodorant - Adidas
Sun Screen - VLCC

Beyond the essentials, here is a ‘What’s in My Bag? – College Edition’ to let you give you an idea of what you might need this season:

2.     Wet Wipes
3.     Tissues or Napkin
4.     A Comb
5.     Lip Balm and Gloss
6.     Kajal/Kohl Stick
7.     Hair Ties and Clips
8.     Health Bar or Chocolate (Do keep one for those tiring moments when you need instant energy)

10. Phone
11.Wallet
12.Lens Case (If you wear them obviously)
13.Umbrella (Monsoon’s here – and no one likes being wet and sticky)
